Experience

• In 2015, After finishing my MBA at UCI Irvine, I joined the newly formed Venture Capital group for Wipro, a global IT services, engineering and consulting firm. I joined the two managing directors as the third member of the team. We were tasked with identifying innovative software startups with technology and business models that were complementary to Wipro. I led our research and sourcing in FinTech and Healthcare, but also worked extensively on our Cybersecurity investments.

• In addition to investing and research duties, a big part of my role on the Wipro Ventures team involved leading our marketing and working closely with our head of business development. I frequently spoke to customer executives visiting our Mountain View campus (e.g. picture at the top of the page) to share what technologies or companies Wipro was investing in and the new products or services were were building with these startup partners.

• My time at Wipro is also what got me interested in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. One of the first conferences I attended on behalf on Wipro Ventures was Money2020 in 2015. That was the year of “blockchain not bitcoin”. I attended every track I could and afterwards startup mapping out the ecosystem, to determine what role Wipro could play.

• In early 2016, I was able to connect with ConsenSys, the biggest Ethereum focused startup, and led Wipro to partner with them and join the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance as a founding member.

• Over the course of 5 years with Wipro Ventures, I worked on 16 of our investments in SaaS startups. Not only did we built an impressive portfolio, in which 6 of the companies were eventually acquired in profitable transactions, we also helped drive new business for Wipro and helped elevate the company’s perception among customers, competitors and industry analysts.
